Love the concept of having an 11 3/4 bucket list. Might have to steal that one (adjusting the ages, of course).

Dear David,

Many thanks for the heads up. That is very steep on top of a membership and would come as quite a shock to anyone – like myself – who turned up expecting to park for free. I think this will negatively impact visitor numbers. I, and I’m sure many others, will opt for another of the many NT places to visit that continue to benefit from free parking for members.

Thanks once again and kind regards,

Francesca

Please be advised that as of now (April 2014) Wakehurst Place are now charging NT members to park there. It is £10 for anything over two hours ! Many people, like myself, are up in arms about this. You can see many comments about this either on TripAdvisor, Kew’s own website ( http://www.kew.org/discover/news/car-parking-charges-wakehurst-place ) where hundreds of outraged people have posted, on facebook, twitter e.t.c. e.t.c.

I just thought you should know. And you may like to update your website/blog to reflect this change.

Regards,

David
